Sea of Textures2

This is "Sea of Textures II" a pastel painting of a sea shell. The background is just a subtle gradation meant to suggest a sky. The undulation of the wood grain suggests ocean waves, so the impression of the image is a shell sitting on driftwood out by the beach. It is a companion piece to "Sea of Textures". The two sea shell paintings look great hanging together or separately.

The painting comes framed, mounted with 18 x 18 off-white mat, image window is 12 x 12.
